The Indian Women Association is a non-profit organization located in Lafayette/West Lafayette, Indiana. IWA’s goal is to provide social, cultural, educational, and charitable activities to unify the Indian community in the Greater Lafayette area. IWA believes in improving mutual understanding and appreciation between the Indo-American community and mainstream American society. IWA is a non-political, non-religious, and non-sectarian organization that is willing to participate with other humanitarian organizations in the area in order to provide community service. To demonstrate this broad mission, membership is encouraged and open to all women who live in the area and who wish to promote community spirit and Indian cultural values. To achieve our mission, we work hard to Connect with people and organizations who share our philosophy, Collaborate with them as necessary and finally, we like to Celebrate all cultures, especially Indian culture, through fun events such as Diwali, Holi, Garba, and seasonal Holiday Parties where the whole community is invited to participate.
